Hero of the Week vs. Zero of the Week

My Hero of the week is Wangari Maathai, the Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize winner for 2004.

"If we don't have enough food and water, we fight over the little that is left. We call these tribal, cultural, religious or political conflicts. But looking deeper, they are caused by resource problems," said Maathai.

It is all so simple when summed up in these words, Maathai, an activist continues to advocate the reforestation of Africa along with other social issues. Overcoming great adversity she refused to be intimidated, and became the first woman in Eastern and Central Africa to earn a doctorate.

The Zero of the week honors go to Jessica Simpson. She is hoping to adopt a baby. What?! This chick can barely raise herself.

“That’s what I wanted for my birthday but I couldn’t legally get a baby across the Mexican border. “I’ll end up doing something which will touch somebody in some way that’s good… through orphanages.”

OMG!!! A baby for your birthday, how spoiled can one pseudocloned Barbie be?
